Begin Braiding
Once you have mastered a basic braid, there are lots of other braiding techniques to try

Fill the Gap is based on the 7 strand plait and can be done easily using a piece of card and 7 threads that can be any thickness or fibre. Instructions for fill the gap are given here |
If you have mastered 7 strand Fill
the Gap, why not try 10 strand options. This is done easily using a
piece of card and 10 threads that can be any thickness or fibre. Typically, a finer thread is used because of there being more threads in the braid |
