AGM Weekend to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Braid Society.
Weekend participants will gather on Friday afternoon, October 17th from 4pm. There will be a speaker in the evening after dinner. The event ends at 4pm on Sunday, 19th. Accommodation can be booked for Sunday night (directly with Wokefield Park).
The agenda for the AGM, draft minutes of the 2013 AGM and the programme for day visitors on 18th October are available in the Members' Area.
Weekend participants will choose one of the four workshops for Saturday and Sunday. The wonderful tutors that have agreed to teach us are: Anne Dixon - inkle shibori, Carole James - fingerweaving, Barbara Walker - 3D ply splitting and Kathy Williams - adventures on a marudai. If you would like to come for the weekend but don't fancy a workshop, space will be available for visiting and braiding. It will be a wonderful opportunity to meet other members and enjoy a weekend of braid making.
If you can't manage the full weekend you are welcome to come just for the AGM from 1.00 to 2.00 pm on SATURDAY with the added bonus of a quick visit to the workshops after the meeting. Lunch can be purchased at the venue if you wish.
