The range of workshops cover many different techniques for braiding and narrow bands.  The tutors are shown in alphabetic order of their last name.   Within the techniques pages, the classes are shown in alphabetic order of the tutor's last name.  The details are provided on the pages that can be access via the menu or by clicking here

Please check the website because some of the workshops have been cancelled due to lack of participants (marked in RED)

We have arranged a series of lectures on the history and development of woven and braided bands in the Nordic countries. Our lecturers are all competent historians, researchers, and respected craftspeople, who, for the first time, are contributing to establish an overview of how these textile techniques evolved – and, to some degree – disappeared in Scandinavia. Documenting the highly complex skills involved in the traditions of weaving these bands is important for both the Nordic and world history of intangible cultural practices.

The details of the lectures, which are in alphabetic order of the lecturer's last name are provided by clicking here.

In the evenings we have arranged a number of events and an excursion on Wednesday afternoon.   Further details of these will be provided in the next few months.

Tutor exhibition: Sun 19.00 – Fri 17.00;   exhibition and bazaar open for public on Thursday evening
